Sharing the picture, Anushka posted, “My New look from  Rudhramadevi of the Kakatiya Dynasty!” Anushka is playing the title role in the film while it has Rana and Allu Arjun in prominent roles.

Directed and produced by Gunasekhar, Rudhramadevi has completed shooting and is going through rigorous post production work. Gunasekhar is leaving no stone to make this film a huge blockbuster as it is his dream project and also needs a good hit.Rudhramadevi is being made with a budget of Rs 80 crores and is the first Historical Stereoscopic 3D film.

The historical reflection 'Rudramadevi' is being shot speedy under one of the most talented directors of South industries Gunasekhar. The movie is a solo-female flick being led by Anushka Shetty. She is playing the historical role of Kakatiya's ruler Rudramadevi.

The reports say that Anushka has been trendy during the shoot and performed the daring acts on her own. The risky stunts at a height of 150 feet were also performed by her without any duplication. Anushka is so crazy about her role and the movie that she learned horse riding and the art of fighting with the sword.

Rana, Allu Arjun and Catherine Teresa playing other crucial roles in the movie which is being shot simultaneously in Tamil and Telugu.

The release of the much-awaited film Rudramadevi, directed and produced by Gunasekhar, was to be in March this year.

However, the release is likely to be delayed as Gunasekhar is in a financial mess because of the film. “Not only to Suman, he owes money to many other actors and it will not be easy for him to resolve all the issues soon,” says a source, adding that P. Vara Prasad has also invested a lot in the film.

Also, of late, some big films bombed at the box office and this has made distributors and exhibitors hesitant to take on big films. In addition to that, Gunasekhar has also taken a risk by choosing a history-based theme from the times of the Kakatiya dynasty.

Apparently, he has already spent nearly Rs 60 crore on the film. The film has Anushka playing the main character and Rana playing one of the leads.
